What are the benefits of acupuncture?
More and more people are turning to acupuncture for solutions to their health. Robust scientific research backs up what many people have known for years. Many individuals, including celebrities and high-powered business people, have acupuncture to alleviate specific aches and pains, such as osteoarthritis of the knee, headaches and low back pain, or for common health problems like an overactive bladder. Some pregnant women choose to have acupuncture throughout their pregnancy; others choose acupuncture when they feel out of balance caused by stresses in their lives. And many, like me, have regular beneficial treatments to relax.
A growing body of evidence-based clinical research is discovering how the body responds to acupuncture and its benefits for a wide range of common health conditions. People tend to have acupuncture to relieve specific aches and pains, such as Temporomandibibular Joint Disorders(TMJ), osteoarthritis of the knee, headaches and low back pain, or for common health problems like an overactive bladder. Others choose acupuncture, for an overall body rebalance when they can feel their bodily functions become out of balance, but they have no obvious diagnosis. And many have regular treatments because they find it so beneficial for relaxing and relieving stress.
